For my taste; too dark and b/w would've been better in color.

I believe that color might tend to distract the viewer. This is truly a dramatic moment and the dark tone intensifies that and focuses the viewer's attention on the faces of the primary subjects waiting at the judging desk. The darkness makes non-primary faces blur into the background exactly as they do in reality. Bottom line, Jaymatt, IMO I think this is a superb image!

I agree with rjaywallace. It's also nice that you have three dominant heads, as three of anything tend to make better photos.

It didn't work well in color at all. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate your looking, and I wholeheartedly agree about the threes, whenever possible.

I agree with rlaugh, you've caught the drama of the moment perfectly.

John,

The B&W doesn't bother me in the least. In fact, I like it very much as a B&W. My only suggestion, or really question of curiosity, is what it might look like just a tad lighter, obviously feeling it is just a tad dark and might provide more interest to the viewer if it were lightened up just a tad. I do like that there are 3 people at the table, one is wearing a crown or tiara, and there are a few people who can be seen in the stands in the background. The image provides a lot to look at.

I have to admit, I looked at it at first and just about passed it up. What made it for me was reading the explanation of what was happening in the image. That grabbed my attention and my interest and then I delve into it a lot more. Nice image of interest, John.

Best Regards,
Tom
