You all have been so forthcoming with great suggestions I am revisiting a non-street image. I suspect you would crop off the left side, but I love the gradual development of the mist and its warmth. : )

I like it, too!
My suggestion, don't crop off the left side. That long tree shadow needs a place to go.

Looks good. I think it's really the black areas that make this. You could replace that barn with a haystack or a rusted-out Buick, and it would still be a good photo.

Thank you, Voss. I just printed it on 13 by 19 semigloss and it came out well.

Thank you, Riskot, it hearkens back to a simpler time.

I would NOT crop off the left side; the perspective would be ruined.

Very nice, no crop needed, imho.

Natalie,

I wouldn’t do much cropping on this photo; the barn is naturally placed in a good 1/3 of the frame for composition. If you were to crop some, it would only be the bright sky in the left end of the frame, keep the barn in the right 1/3 of the frame. Be careful on cropping, you wouldn’t want to lose any dramatic shadows.

Suggestion; keep an eye on the setting sun and the time of day you normally travel down these country roads. In the days to come, you may be able to capture more dramatic photographs as the sun sets earlier each day.

Great suggestions, Michael, and I'd love to pursue the sun, but hopefully not like Icarus!

I like the photograph; however, when I think of all the categories of photography, this shot does not fall into Street Photography as a first choice.
