I've been busy

A wedding every weekend all through the summer and it continues through the end of October ............... ugg

3 weeks ago my father passes away, we laid his ashes to rest 8 days ago ............ ugg

Time for a vacation :)

Question: Is this flipping off with your ring fingers something recent? Should I fill in the base of the well with ivy?

Fun wedding, they are both heavy medal lovers ........... Guns and Roses everywhere

Not seen the flipping off with rings pic, but hey maybe you will start a new trend! I vote no ivy. No particular reason other than I like buckets.

Jerry, you have been busy especially considering you sometimes do both photography and video. One wedding a month wears me out. My hat is off to you!

I like the well as it is. Really a nice portrait. The bucket adds a little, but doesn't distract from the couple. Again, as usual, very nicely done.

As for the "flipping off" I'm sure it was a "pinterist" thing, or something along that lines. I occasionally get odd requests to do things like that. I do them, but normally suggest leaving anything "trendy" out of the album, because eventually, it will be VERY dated. Imagine an entire wedding album with spot color.

I find a lot of inspiration from Pinterist as well, but... There are always things in there that make you say, what the heck?

I love fun photos, but still try to err on the side of elegance.

Glad to hear that you have been busy! Sorry to hear about your dad- please accept my condolences.

As far as the "finger" is concerned. I suppose it's OK as long as that gesture is not directed at the photographer. I don't know if I would want to use that shot as an album closer or the last image in a slide show- not exactly what you wanna use on a thank you card! Nowadays, nothing surprises me!

Be well my friend! Enjoy your vacation! Ed

Glad to hear that you have been busy! Sorry to hea... (show quote)

Thanks ED, appreciate the condolences. Interesting that the only weekend I wasn't booked was 2 weekends after his passing which is the weekend we scattered his ashes and had a wake. Maybe 'Someone' had His fingers into the whole thing :)

The finger thing was something they requested, just was curious if this is a new thing ............ but then again, California often is a trend setter ...........
