Do they ever show reruns of Sgt Bilco in the US? Many years ago I never missed a programme.
Have not seen Phil Silvers on TV in a long time. You can still watch some of his shows on YouTube.
Not many of the old b&w shows get aired any more. There is a cable channel called TVLand that specializes in those. It's too bad, because this generation is missing out on some great series....Leave it to Beaver, Our Miss Brooks.....not even to mention The Honeymooners, perhaps one of the greatest b&w shows ever.

The original name of the show was You'll Never Get Rich, and then The Phil Silvers Show. I've never seen it on any of the channels which rerun old B&W shows.

The Honeymooners was wonderful. All the episodes are on You Tube and I watch them on a regular basis. Jackie was The Greatest. I am going to start my own chapter of the Racoon Lodge

They show The Phil Silvers Show quite often on Forces TV (Channel 264 on Sky in the UK) - with Sgt Bilko - that's before they all seemed to star in Top Cat!
Just got a shot on Youtobe and it was as funny as I remembered all those years ago.why don't they make them like that anymore?
On one of their sub-channels, the leading broadcaster runs what is called "Decades," which is old stuff. Last week, the subject was the Marx Brothers, most were in B&W.

I enjoyed Sgt. Bilco also, and a many of the B & W shows like Dragnet, Lassie, Sky King, etc., etc.
There are a number of cable channels that offer old TV shows. They include RETROPLEX, TVONE, TVLAND (Andy Griffith, Bonanza, Gunsmoke) and METV/8PRIME (Donna Reed, Andy Griffith, Happy Days, Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Hero's, Carol Burnett, Perry Mason, Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock, etc.)
An interesting sidenote. My doctor's office plays METV in the waiting room. It is the only waiting room I've seen where patients do not want to get called to see the doctor until the show they are watching is over!
I get METV on my cable, and I did confirm that they run the Phil Silvers Show - at 4:30 am Mondays, Pacific time. Myself, I like the old Westerns - Gunsmoke (the B&W ones), Have Gun Will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive (with Steve McQueen).
