This site looks like a good place to learn. I've had a Canon Rebel XS for almost 10 mo. and enjoyed every second. Learning to use a DSLR in manual mode and the value of Adobe PSE 9 has been tough on an old geezer like me, but forums like this has made things a bit simpler. Been "peepin'" for a couple of days and liked what I've seen. Here are a few samples. All critique welcomed. It's how I learn.
Me like the 1st & 3rd pic a lot. Good composition & clarity.
Personally Id increase the color saturation, sharpen & brightness just a tad on the 1st pic
Thx Buddy Bob for sharing. Have fun...! :-P
see if you like this version? :P

Thanks for commenting Pics-Tale. How much a person chooses to "cook" a shot in PP is relevant to what they want to achieve. My goal is to capture as closely as I can to what my eye seen and relate that to the viewer. Example...Cedar trees are never bright green. Usually if my camera settings take me much further than a crop and some levels adjustments the shot gets trashed. Your re-edit is fine if you achieved your goal. :D
