This is beautiful and intriguing. It is not something I would do (Only because I wouldn't know where to start!) but I certainly have enjoyed it. Sometimes just for fun has great results.

Then you will really love this one!!
step 1. Find a GOOD photo to use, preferably one of your own,
step 2 Duplicate file
step 3 Take 1/4 right top, flipped left to right
flip top to bottom.
Step 4 Fill with hideous color.

You are wrong. This is not the start image.

The geometry does not even line up. It's not even close! But some are going to see only what they want to see.

There are hundreds of images of Trillium Lake around. They are a dime a dozen. Most of them are much better than the presumed source and a lot of it is available as free wallpaper.

Since mirroring was used, almost any image from many other shooting positions and mountain locations could have been the starting point.

It does not pay to jump to conclusions.

The start image for this bit of Photoshop doodling was actually an exercise that I set for myself which was to make a Photoshopped copy of a landscape that tdekany posted on one of my threads using bits of stock images obtained on the net.

How can you tell anything at all about the starter image? I suppose the the shape may be there still, but colors, contrasts, etc have all been replaced.

I don't use Photoshop, so bear with me, but was this from a blank canvas or did you start with the image and modify it?

And, would you mind starting a post to work us though this? S-

Totally from scratch, a blank canvas Steve. Want to try it yourself?
