The Yellow Ladyslippers are blooming now in Wisconsin. I was lucky enough to find some to share with you folks on UHH. It was late morning when I found these, so the lighting is a bit harsh. Comments, suggestions, CC and additional posts are welcome as always.

Thanks Erv. Yes, these are wildflowers. They are growing in a prairie at a local state park.

Hi Gidgette. As far as I know, there are three types of Lady-slippers here in Wisconsin. The yellow, the showy, and the small white Lady-slippers. Last week I photographed and posted on UHH the small white ones. Wander on over and have a look. Next on the list is the Showy Lady-slipper, but their blooming season is short and time may be running out for this year.

Just found your white Ladyslipper, I like it too, but prefer the yellow so far. Looking forward to seeing the showy one also. Thanks
