Does anyone know about video.

I am working on a family history project and I have a CD with some video files transferred from film shot in the 30s or 40s. It is a VOB file also has IFO and BUP files. I would like to be able to open it in LR4 to edit it and eventually embed it in the PFD book I am creating or be able to send it via e-mail to others in my family.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, David
Sounds like it is in the standard DVD format.
There are a few programs out there that will import VOB files. What I would do is extract the video from the VOB file with a program such as Handbrake and save it as a format that you can work with.

OK I'll try it. I know nothing about video so if you have any more to share please do. Thank you.
