The rewards of a moonwalk when shooting street

Spotted this young lady whilst prowling with the trusty Nikon. She looked sad pensive deep in thought and all the other things street snappers often desire in a subject. Not for Billy!
I attracted her attention by moonwalking in the middle of the road. A quiet road I hasten to add. I added to this my rather famous rendition of Billy Jean complete with the guttural squeals and squeaks one expects from a Michael Jackson impersonation.
Should you wish to attempt this then skin tight trousers and crepe soled shoes add an air of authenticity.
I was rewarded with a warm and wonderful smile which was all I wanted. Is it a great street fota? Who cares! certainly not me. Does it make me happy Yes Yes Yes and I hope it has the same effect on any visitor. My memory of the occasion which only lasted a few minutes are very pleasant and fun filled ones.

If I tried the moon walk she would think I was stomping the ground like a horse.

If you're wearing an orange wig I can guarantee you nobody will be looking at your feet .

Jim I am just lucky I suppose the Good Lord gave me the grace of Fred Astaire and swivel hips that rival those of a combined Mick Jagger and Elvis! Drives the gals wild during the after bingo disco sessions at the local old folks home. Once that mirror ball in the ceiling starts turning and ol' Billy starts a movin' and a groovin' I cant be held responsible for what the ladies do.

R.G Are you sure that's a wig? I always assumed Jim was a natural born ginger haired chap.

Nice shot, Billy, you managed with your "moonwalk" to get a very natural smile on her face. Well done.

So I tried that with the crepe soles - the shoes stuck to the tarmac and now I've got a bad back! Nice shot though Billy, just a technique I no longer wish to pursue.

I very much like this photo. It makes me imagine that, if we took this young lady and plopped her in Central Park, NY, or on the Champs Elysees in Paris, she would fit in...so how interesting the background is to me...almost more than this beautiful young lady!

You managed to turn her mood around. I get it, and I really like the photo. It makes me happy as well.

Love this shot! Moonwalking and swiveling hips sure paid off. Certainly enough for her to smile with amusement! A beautiful smile.

Controlling them crepes takes a bit of practice Dave. Maybe a light coating of magneto oil on the soles would help? Glad to have you call by my friend.

The background Edie is is what is known as a Sari Sari store here. Imagine a tiny general store tacked onto the front of a house selling sweets candy sachets of coffee cigarettes singly, yep u can buy one cigarette. I will try and find a half decent shot of one of these stores for you and post it later this week.
She was indeed a beautiful young lady.
