Recently I acquired a Nikon E2 Digital SLR, 1.6 pixel camera. I am not having any success locating a battery charger, EH-1/Eh-2, and a battery EN-1 for the camera. Two batteries came with the camera but have no idea if they are chargeable. I have contacted several sources for information and came up empty. The camera has the name FUJIX imprinted on the front. It was manufactured between 1994 and 1996 as listed on the spec., sheet downloaded from mir, com. I paid $75.00 for the camera with two lenses. It is listed as used on the internet for $1300.
Thank you for your interest. Bulach

try keh.com is this a fuiji branded camera based on a nikon body? there were a few of those also kodak/nikon dslrs. never heard of an e2. i believe fuji had an s2
My research shows that it is a Nikon E2. This camera was produced by Nikon and Fuji. The Nikon name appears on the front portion of the viewer, and the name Fujix (correct spelling) appears on the front of the camera.

Welcome to UHH, hope you find what you need. Can you charge them in the camera? Might try that.

The E2 and E2s models were only built for a couple of years. They were a joint collaboration between Fuji and Nikon to develope a functional DSLR. The body was designed by Fuji to accomodate their sensor and PC card recorder, and Nikon adapted the lens mount, hotshoe and electronic photo controls. It was designed for photojournalists. The 1 fps E2 was quickly upgraded to a 3 fps E2s model. It was accepted as a DSLR by the PJ's but derided for its unwieldy body design, but with its only competition being the Kodaks (Also using Nikon bodies) it offered a second choice to users. It continued as the Fuji S series of DSLR cameras through to 2010 when Fuji dropped out of the DSLR market. And we all know what happened to Kodaks venture.
There was also an E3S model, but Fuji marketed it as a DS-565 (or something close to that number) The major upgrade to the E3S was the use of NiMh batteries, the E2's all used a NiCad battery.
The camera has some collectors interest, but for practicalitys sake a D1X would be a much better investment. The best part of the deal was the lenses which will work on any Nikon SLR or DSLR.
Good luck with a charger, it might be an Ebay item to look for.

Thanks.
Most "Nikonians" are unfamiliar with the "E" series as it was not marketed by Nikon, only by Fuji, and primarily to the journalistic industry and not to consumers, at least not initially. I think Nikon demanded their name be on the body for recognition of their mount and to promote lens sales, that kept photographers from saying "I am not interested in buying all new lenses again just to use this body." They would easily recognize that all their Nikon lenses would mount up and shoot on the Fuji's. Fuji wisely kept that Nikon mount on all their DSLR offerings, probably what kept them selling for so long.
Thanks to all for giving me a better knowledge of the camera which I purchased. I will follow up on the leads for the charger.
