My photoshop CC is gone

I tried using Adobe help, but with my hearing impairment and lack of knowledge of Hindi, I am at a loss. I also tried chat help to no avail. I'm using Windows 7. The last update instructed me to uninstall photoshop, then reinstall it. Now I have none, as when I try to open it, I'm told my free trial is over. I've been using CC ever since it came out, and I am at a loss.
Can one of you who is smarter than I help me? What do I do now?

First off, go to the Control Panel (Left Click on Start > Left Click on Control Panel > Left Click on Uninstall a program. This will bring up a list of all the programs currently installed on you computer. Look down the list to verify that PS is installed. If it is, close the window and exit the Control Panel.

Next, open your Windows Explorer. Left click on Windows (C:), Look for Program Files - there are two directories labeled such, one has (x86). Check in both of them for the Adobe folder. PS should be in that folder. Once you find the Photoshop folder, click on Photoshop.exe to start the program.

If you used two e-mails to run PS CC and your pay monthly/yearly switch e-mail that may be your trouble.

To add to what Bob said above - check that you are indeed logged into Adobe CC - in the CC app, even log out and log back in. I have had a couple of issues lately with Lightroom being slow to launch and it seems like it may be due to communication issues with Adobe. Logging out of the CC app and logging back in seems to have corrected the issues.

I too tried F1 (Help) in LR CC... I get a message "Server Not Found". Only in LR, I have the CC Suite and all other programs are without problem...Don't have an answer for you though. Do you perhaps as mentioned have two e-mails or even two Adobe ID's as I do, I had LR 6 before CC subscription, If for some reason I need to use LR6 stand alone, I have to change ID's.

Don, good point. Also, the point for my lackluster approach to wanting to purchase the CC version of anything.

i guess mine is running a bit better because i created a desktop shortcut that loads the exe directly, rather than having to go through the cc app.

FWIW - You do not "go thru " the CC app.... if you are a CC subscriber, when you launch the product it will check with Adobe over the internet to verify your current license is up to date with Adobe - The CC app is an updater and way to sign into your Adobe Account for the licensed products, as well as providing access to additional assets from Adobe, it is not just a launcher.

Shortcut or no, if you drop your CC subscription, Photoshop will not just keep working at no cost.

BTW - on my iMac, the apps are loaded off the dock bar (shortcut's) or via the launch pad screen. When I say I saw some slowness in Lightroom launching I am being very nit picky ;) I am talking a difference of launching times between 3 seconds normally to maybe as slow as 10 seconds.

For the most part... True, I will at times have to take my laptop to a clients office, launch PS, LR, ID, AI whatever, and they all work fine without being on the internet. We can't all be connected all the time...I'm sure there is a limited time as with my architectural software where I have about 2 weeks of off line time before it'll become unusable and shuts down. Not inactive just not usable till I plug back in. Kinda of like filling up the gas tank. :)

FWIW - I have heard that there is perhaps up to 90 days that Photoshop will function without the need to "phone home", and once connected again to the internet you are good for another 90 days. I do not know the exact days off line that lead to non-operation though.

I have to wonder though if a communication error even while connected could lead to problems with Lightroom and/or Photoshop assuming the account is not current for some reason.

I could live with that, not having to phone home for 90 days...ha ha. Not sure if I could go that long without being connected for 90 days... LOL

Hummm, good point, anything is possible and the worst of that, not knowing your account is in affect not current till it shuts down, then you try and get through to Adobe to straighten things out. Good luck with that. :(

You said it is a free trial? Well those are usually limited to about 30 days or something like that, if you want to go behind that you'll have to pay!!

I myself had good luck with a chat assist help when I had trouble getting access to Lightroom from CC. Others have also had good luck with chat assistance and remote control by Adobe to correct the issue - you might want to try the chat assist approach again. Being a winblows machine it may involve a registry adjustment to get it straightened out and the right tech at Adobe could possibly easily remote in and take care of it for you.
