It's a beautiful shot. One thing to do is to use the rule of thirds on the horizon. It's usually not best to have the horizon at the midpoint of the photo. Usually having 1/3 sky and 2/3 water or 2/3 sky and 1/3 water would be best.

This one has to be downloaded to be fully appreciated. I also like the composition since the sky and it's reflection is the subject. djt

I like HDR but I do find this overdone.

That's ok, to each his own. Some will like it, some won't. Have a nice day.

Too many "artifacts" Turn down adaptive exposure and regions, or add HDR as second layer and blend.

You're way beyond me. I'm not that familiar with photoshop. I ran it through phomattix and then finished editing it in lightroom. I'm just learning, got a long way to go. Thanks.

In Photomatix, which preset did you use?

I honestly don't recall. I did use tone mapping rather than fusion though. I did most of the adjustments in lightroom simply because I'm very familiar with that program. I just don't like the way lightroom renders merged files. Again, maybe it's me. As I said, I know I have a long way to go with this stuff. But it's fun learning. Thanks.
