I just love #5, what a great shot, they are all good, but I can actually feel the electricity in #5, really good.

Glad to hear that you weren't close enough to feel the electricity, after all we want you to shoot more good art. When I was a young stupid photographer, i wanted to get some lightening pictures over the Grand Canyon, I found a good spot on the edge of the canyon and it started drizzling, the lightening started it's show, you could hear the sizzle of the electricity from the lightening, and I sat there with my trusty all steel tripod between my legs trying to get the shot, it is a wonder that I didn't get fried, but I was young and stupid, and now I am old and stupid, but tripods have changed, as they use a lot of carbon fiber now. (I did get the shot)

That's the spirit. We do what we have to to get the shot. All else is secondary. Never been hit and only close 5 times.

Ed, an unbelievable set of photos. Some of the best lightning photos I have seen. Thanks for sharing and your ability to capture these photos.
