...I will have PSE10 in my hot little hands, along with a recommended how-to book I got from amazon. I am looking forward to jumping in with both feet.
I know that I will be asking questions, and will no doubt get the answers from you guys on these boards.I thank you in advance!

Plan on spending many hours learning it. Don't get me wrong, the basics are easy to learn, but it is a very powerful program for the money with many hidden tricks. It will most likely do anything you want for a very long time.

Get the basics down first (if this is the program you will be using for your photo enhancing). Then, little by little the tools, etc. It really just takes time. Then.....the all powerful, layers!
Good luck.

Oh what a fun time you have ahead of you-the learning curve is not so intimidating as PS 7 & cs4 - but still has what amateur/hobby photographers need.

I just gt PSE 10 this week, as an extension to LR3. There is a lot to learn but that is haf the fun for me. Using Adobe Classroom in a Book paage by page, and it is fairly easy to follow..but a lot more ethan I can assimilate in a few days.
