That's a rat snake, very common here in Texas. If you have one of these you don't have gophers, mice, rats or other vermin. Good shots and set,

No.1 for me, crop top and bottom and add a bit to the right and I'd call it perfection. Once saw one in the Thames whilst I was paddling my kayak - they carry on swimming in the same direction but their head turns around to keep in an eye on you. Spooky.
