You got lucky. One normally doesn't see a live cicada. Lots of molting shells but no live ones. Your photos are very good. Have a GREAT DAY!

Thanks, I was letting the dogs out for their business and it flew right toward me so I went in and got the camera. Took a few minutes to find it and it started climbing. It was cloudy so I grabbed flash when I went back out. It had just rained.
