I've been a member and lurker here for a number of years now but have been away from here for some time now. I actually did a couple of posts a while back! Photography has been an interest of mine almost all of adult life but now as I get older I'm starting to tack it more seriously and spend some more time with it. I'm a Canon kind of guy. Anyhow I just bit the bullet and bought a used low shutter count 7D body on ebay and at the same time I ordered a Canon 2.8 100mm L lens for it and no-I don't have a lot of money. Close-up and macro are of interest to me. Both came in the mail last Saturday and in between rains I had it out twice now. I am loving this combo. I'm finding the dof of this lens to be challenging but I'm starting to get control of it. Anyhow-Just saying Hi. Dave

Welcome back, If you go away again don't stay gone so long. That's a great camera and a REALLY great lens. You should have some assume photos when you learn the ins and outs of it.

I thought I was registered but i tried to post but couldn't login. Anyway, I'm back. I was a canon user for digital work, and about every other manufacturer for film. Being 69 years young, I started looking for smaller lighter system. Since I shot mainly Fujifilm film, I decided to check out the Fuji line. It was like falling in love with Photography all over.
I hope I can remember my password and username this time. Or at least where I wrote it down.
