Here is another post with this theme, The village is called Charnock Richard and is in Lancashire in NW England.
It has two claims to fame, UK motorists will recognise the name from the motorway service area on the M6, it also has a famous "Scarecrow Festival" which is held annually. There are a couple of nice pubs, a miniature library, a defibrillation point a nice church and school. There is also a very good golf course and one of largest cycle stores in the UK known as "Buy a Bike". see:

All excellent captures John enjoyed the tour very much.
Very nice set. I particularly like the phone box and its repurposing.
Thanks Sylvia I appreciate your comments, I was lucky with the weather though that day.
Thankyou revhen, you are welcome anytime.

My retirement fantasy was to wake up late to a full English breakfast, totter down to the pub to lift a couple of bitters in the afternoon, then enjoy a pub supper in the evening. Ah, well.
Thankyou Carol, it's quite common to reuse these old telephone kiosks for all sorts of things, this one is the first one I've see used for a defibrillater though.

Nice shooting I like #2
I appreciate your comment, I did spend a lot of time in that churchyard taking a dozen or so photos, there wasn't much room to get back to get the whole building in, the sun kept going in and out due to the clouds. I had to work on the shadows and the perspective a bit when I got home.
Once again thanks for your comment.
Very enjoyable set. Love seeing your country scenes. You did a wonderful job on these.

At least the sun DID break through. You know the reputation of English weather . . . .
Nice photos; I enjoyed seeing them.
A very enjoyable visit to a typical English village.
