Coming in the back door I saw this spider web. The sun was shining in such a way that I could see the rainbow colors. So, grab the camera and play a little.

I cropped the original, played with the contrast, highlights, etc., a little and ended up with this.

Comments on how to improve are always welcome.

Thank you and have a great evening.

Super-cool! It might be interesting to see how it looks with the right-hand triangle of web and brightest reflect light gone.

It's creative, like that you cropped it off center, a real variety of circles and triangles! Good work JanetLee!

Thank you! Could you give me some hints on how to do that? Maybe this evening the sun will be hitting it just right again. Willing to give it a good try anyways!

Thanks Trish! I didn't realize that, just did it the way that looked best to me! Hey, does that mean I finally go something correct?

For this image you posted, I would use a clone tool, to basically cover up that section with black from another part of the image. Have you done pp such as that? If not, what editing software do you have?

No, I have not yet done something like that. I know I have Photo (?), and something else, but not sure.

Would you like the original before cropping, etc, to play with? Easy enough to post.

Crikey, I took one look at how much work you did already to the original, and said no way - lol.

Below is what I meant about cloning out some of the brightest areas on the right side. The second one has more saturation for crazier color. The clone tool isn't available in some of the more basic editors.

I used PS Elements, a stripped down version of Photoshop.

Thanks!

I get it now! Something more to play with. I do need something beside photoshop though. I can do some things with it, but obviously still learning.

Your second version really brings out the colors. That was my whole reason for taking the picture to start with! It was just so pretty with the sun hitting it.

You did great to see the photographic potential in your far-away subject!
