The long, high heat and extreme drought have taken their toll this Summer.
Leaves are falling quite heavily, and, their color is changing as if it were late September and early October.

Fall is favorite time of year, but sad to say, this is pushing it a bit!
Nice shot Pierre!

OK, off track, but I see a dinosaur with a wide open mouth and an orange eye/green pupil.

A nice one, Pierre, but in fact I took some shots of all the leaves on the ground at noon today myself, very sad. Looks like late October here. The birches have dropped about 90 percent of their leaves, the maples down to about 50 percent, the oaks are getting in on the action, even the weeds are shriveled! It doesn't bode well for a pretty fall season. We've had maybe an inch of rain here since May all told. I'm thoroughly sick of watering! They forecast rain day after day, and it never comes. Or it sprinkles for five minutes, and maybe you hear thunder in the distance. Not a help.

On the plus side, I haven't had to cut the grass since before Memorial Day. : )

A nice one, Pierre, but in fact I took some shots ... (show quote)

Much of Southern Ontario received heavy rain today -- heavy enough for the national weather office to issue warnings.
We received moderate but steady rain here in Eastern Ontario. Oh happy day! It is supposed to continue off and on tonight and tomorrow morning. It's too late for some farms but will be good for flower gardens and lawns. My apple trees have all dropped their fruit. I've heard no reports of wells going dry, but the local conservation authorities are telling everyone to conserve water.
The temperature at mid afternoon here was 65f. That's almost 25f less than last week.
I was thinking of driving tomorrow to check a couple waterfalls. The low water may have set up different scenes for pix.

Thanks for visiting Randy.

Nice image of a sad situation Pierre! Our drought has caused unbelievable damage to California. Lost crops, countless fires, lost jobs and billions of dollars in lost revenue.
