That would scare the crap out of me if they were human-sized. Love the processing work, especially in the dramatic lighting department.

My vote for most original perspective and subject in the opening days of D.A.!

I don't see overworked; the image is appropriately scary and fascinating. Good thing I like spiders; otherwise, I'd be forced to send my therapist bill to you, Piet. Fantastic image!

LOL, Bob, even the little ones scare me - I was going to shadowlight it, but it just didn't work out. But I fully intended to "box" it! Moved too fast.

I was good with this shot until I read what it was. Unlike Linda, I don't have anything to do with spiders. Your processing certainly amped up the scary aspects of the shot. The fangs may even have a tinge of blood!

Good for you! A normal person, I am much relieved. Look at those fangs - those grippers, these are the arachnid equivalent of a milkshake maker, turns the inside of their victim into an energy drink. I'm with you Carol, happy to be bigger than them!

A great book cover for a horror story!! Beautiful rich colours, light and background. We have two spiders that come into the lounge through an air vent late evening time, run around then go back again. I have named them Maude and Claude. Your super work will make me scrutinise them more! !

I hate spiders (and snakes) probably because the ones we have down here kill you LoL, but I love that image. Not over worked at all - very dramatic. Just for interest approximately what magnification was that. I think the original image is supurb too.

Holy camoly Pfrancke, Anne Rice should have used either one of these for one of her books. I like the one you called overworked but I'm all about dark intrigue. Really well done.

thank you sylvias, rlaugh, infocus, and jwt. I had a lot of fun with this image - learning how to use textures effectively. infocus, the starting image was the result of a focus stack at 5X.
