The contrasts of #2 are wonderful. Gritty, decaying walls against lush, thriving greenery. That you created one of those walls is just amazing, Bill!

Besides the contrasts, I also really like the composition of the long, steep stairway to a hidden life we're immediately curious about.

Thank you so much Linda! This was a challenge. There was so much wrong with the far right side of the original.
Before I took the photo, I knew what I wanted to do with it. The left side was easy, as were the flowers at the base of the stairs. I copied the left wall and placed it to cover up the right side. Added some filters and a layer mask to finish it up.

Places like this hold such secrets! You have, in my opinion, cropped it perfectly in #2! Great job Bill!

Very well done. The 'new' wall works well, an interesting creation. Good work!

Thanks Randy! I'm glad you like it!

Masterful transformation from 1 to 2. The extra wall is brilliantly done and the stark bright colours combine to take the viewer on a mental journey.

Pierre, it's funny you mentioned photographic eye. I wrote a small piece about the Photographer's eye!

Carol, I can't thank you enough for you're kind words! I wanted to show another example of taking a photo other's wouldn't think of taking. Images like this are all over the place if folks would just learn to look for
them.
