Geez, you got a new camera! 10 is nothing!
Quite often refurbs (not only Canon) are brand-new products that were held as warranty replacements or are overproduction that appear on the market as models approach discontinuation. They are also equipment where the packaging was damaged, or for whatever reason (low sales, store closures, etc) returned by a dealer, but can no longer be sold as new. I would imagine many are even new products returned through Canon's online store due to buyer's remorse.
You can see many "Used" Leica M Monochrom (old model) that only have 300 clicks, which means factory testing at time of original manufacture.
I will likely buy another 6D (my daughter adopted mine when I bought the 5D3) and will definitely go refurb. My 5D3 was refurb and has 12 clicks on it. I see nothing to suggest anything other than a brand-new camera.

Would love to visit the Tetons and Yellowstone again! The photo above is with a Canon 100-400L (model I). I also have a Canon 24-105 f4L and a 50mm f1.8 prime. Anxious to get out and play with those!
I love my 24-105 it so sharp. I also have f/1.8 50, 85 & 100 BlkMac 2.8. All are great!
