I'm sure you are not 100% correct in what you say but surely 95% correct or more. Here's the big question then. When it is our people and country that develop all these miraculous medical marvels, then why is it that Americans have to pay for all the research for it and the rest of the world gets the benefits and technology for free. It should be the other way around; our medical care should be dirt cheap while the rest of the world pays for the benefit of life that we developed. All we are doing is we pay for all of it, while the rest of the world sits back and benefits from our ingenuity. It they paid for it, as they should, maybe they'd get off their lazy asses and do some research themselves; then the medical world could rapidly jump into the future so much faster with discovering new cures and techniques. Personally, I'm sick and tired of our country taking care of the world while we ignore the abuse to the disabled, elderly and seriously poor in our country. We are denying benefits to people here on comp claiming they don't haven the money to the point of even violating the existing laws and lawyers say that they can't do a thing. It's all political abuse, and violating and denying benefits to people that were forced to pay for, against their will. Nothing can be more immoral and illegal. You don't treat your own like that and keep kissing the worlds back end. We have the money to take care of our own if we stop sending it all over seas. Tell me one country that offered a cent of help to us when Katrina hit or the storm that hit the northeast a couple of years ago!

Those you are referring to must be the private health insurers who (with the exception of our elderly on Medicare) are the worst abusers of the poor and disabled.

The biggest abuser is the government and when the government is involved the private companies will all follow. The abuse to those on medicare or medicaid is nothing compared to what workers comp is doing; they re by far so bad they are in a class all their own, and then it magnifies even more if you are living out of the state your comp case is from. You have no idea of the abuse, legal violations they are guilty of. How about someone who is still waiting for multiple surgeries that the Doctors said were critical 16 years ago and because of not having them has acquired multiple other injuries that they refuse to cover and owes them over $300,000.00 in back compensation payments. Recently, for the past 22 months has been left abandoned by the medical system (due to comps refusal to cooperate with the doctors), has been left abandoned in their home a medical prisoner in so much pain they cannot get down the stairs to get out of their house or even get into the tub to bathe. No lawyer will lift a finger to help; neither will the media or government; either the federal, or either state; the one they live in or the one the comp case is in. To make it worse, the presidential candidates both have ties in the abusing state (New York) to their comp citizens and yet have you heard a single word from either of them? NY is so bad there is even a petition being passed around calling for the laws to be followed and the comp victims to be taken care of and it doesn't even address the worse abused, the out of state victims. NY comp is so bad the judges and even the appeals board openly violates the existing laws and do as they please, always favoring the insurance companies.

Moroon, everything I said there is no ideology but the truth of what is going on. I personally know the situation and know for a fact it is all going on. So take your fantasy bulls**t and stick it, since you could care less how the government is abusing this group of people. Just wait until it happens to you and see if anyone gives a damn about you!
