I think it would look better cropped at the top, say about half the cloud as it's quite burnt out. nice photo though.

Hi

The following comments are not to criticise, ony to give you my opinion

I think overall the subject is ok, however you highlights are blown out in the sky and river, and your shadows are very muddy and grey looking.
Shooting into the light is very difficult to pull off, try next time a earlier or later time of day, maybe a use an Neutral density filter to equalise your sky and shadows, or why not take several shots exposing for the sun, shadows then combine both.
hope this is not too severe

I like the location, but i agree with duncan. Try taking the shot with the sun behind you and earlier or later in the day, depending if that's facing east or west. Then the light isn't so intense and maybe you can get more of the nice green scenery and a nice blue sky and also the river won't be washed out.

If the sun is behind the camera you will miss the sunbeams and I doubt the river would stil look like the neat silver ribbon portrayed here. It would be a completely different picture ald lose the beauty of this shot. Just my opinion Rbo36

I think that using bracketing and HDR could improve this nice picture. This is MHO.
