Hello to all:
I just joined Hedge Hog.
My photo interests are portraits, landscapes, and interiors.
My camera is a Canon EOS 5D, but am tempted by the Mark II and Mark III upgrades.
Amazed to learn that the first upgrade (Mark II) was used to film the entire last TV episode of "House."
For now I plan to stay with the 5D.

Welcome to the Hog Aeneas, enjoy.
Welcome aboard. I too have one of the variations of the 5D series, the 5DSr. Now's the time to upgrade to a mark III with the mark IV due out in a few days, mark III prices keep dropping.
Thanks for that advice, mmorrison. I'll keep it in mind.

I did all the upgrades to the D5 mark iii and was not disappointed ... excellent camera. The upgrade improved the low light capability quite a bit. . The DS and DR series are 50 mb cameras ... great for landscapes but the working files are so large you have to use a very fast computer to process them. They are also not very fast in sequence shooting. I also bought a 1DX Mark ii flagship camera that takes 14 shot / second ... great for sports. I'm about to sell the D5 to help pay for the D1x ... I'm using a Nikon D810 for portraits. (36 mb)
Welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us!
Welcome to the group, enjoy!
I've actually been a reader for some months. I'm Bob Baird, in Phoenix, AZ. Digitals are Nikon, d70 and d90. Like a number of others, I still like film, too. Minty Nikon's found in thrift shops: Nikkormat, FM, and F Photomic. Bronica SQA, and a stunning Zeiss Ikoflex.
