Just scored an 85-year-old C mount cine lens that mates nicely with my Sony a6000. It's a Ross 1 inch f1.9 lens, and indeed the thing is about one inch long and one inch wide, uncoated glass, with a front element that is maybe 1/2 inch in diameter at a stretch. But oh my, it is by far the sharpest lens I own--at least in the center, even wide open, as all these shots are taken. The periphery...well, that's a different story...
Went out to my local park for some test shots--two Japanese fountains and two flowers. Enjoy :)
I bought some other vintage lenses, in search of stretching my range. I'll keep you posted.
Very good Toby, very sharp at the center.
Perfect lens for that beautiful bokeh on #2 & 3!

I too love so many of those older lenses. The money was put into good glass and a solid housing; not all the bells and whistles today's lenses have.
Great lens and photos - love the bokeh effect and circular patterns.
