We have here in South Florida each year during the winter months what is known as the "Youth Fair." It is not free but there is so much to see inside and it is great for kids. It could also be called an amusement park.
I usually take with me a zoom that gives me a decent range of focal lengths to work the place. A tripod is not very practical except for night shots.

I don't think they allow you on the roller coaster carrying a tripod. Knoebels main attraction are the roller coaster rides.
