State fair success

I've known for about 3 weeks that I had 2 photos selected for display at the Iowa state fair photography salon for this year, and that one of them has been awarded but until yesterday I didn't know which of the 4 photos I submitted had been selected or which one was awarded or for that matter what award I had gotten. The competition is very tough and to even have one photo selected for display is an honor in itself. There were over 6000 photos submitted by some 1300 photographers. Here are the 4 photos I submitted. The first 2 did not get selected for display. The 3rd photo is on display and the last photo was awarded an honorable mention.

Congratulations! The fog shot is beautiful and has a timeless quality! I really like the sweet looking cow too!

Thanks Linda. I like your description of the cow. This is actually titled Linda's Cow but in honor of a friend named Linda who gave me an assignment to find her a cow she could enlarge and hang on her wall. I printed it 16X20 for her and gifted it to her. It now hangs in a prominent spot in her house.

Extraordinary group of photos Walt. I'm not picking a favorite, as I could award a blue ribbon to all of them.
