Why standing in one place and zooming is bad for your photography...

This guy brings up a good point about the way we use zoom lenses most of the time.

We just tend to stand in one spot and "zoom as necessary" but is that the best way to use a zoom lens?

Very interesting especially since I just started using my 50mm lens. I felt I need to re-visit the old film day when a 50mm lens was what came on your camera. What a difference it is taking on my photo captures. A whole new prospective.
