There is a guy on the net who has a photo resource site with a lot of videos and he's got a huge Afro. He hasn't always had it and I always wondering why he wore it.
As it turns out...it's a tribute to his mother who died after a battle with Cancer.
In this video he tells the story of why he wears the fro and the second half of the video is the photographs he took of her last time here on earth.

Sad but a wonderful job of documentation by Jarid, he has my sympathy. My Mom is in a nursing home and I see every chance I can and photograph her also. Those photos will be all we can share.

I've been following him for a while as well, I knew his mother had past but did not realize the "fro" was his tribute to her.
