Your NYC Top 5 Photo Spots

If you had 3 days in NYC with the final half day doing a tour of B&H what 5 spots would you consider as must see. You can't choose Hoboken or Times Square as both these locations will be covered on Friday evening and our hotel is right on Times Square.
I break this into 5 as I want to shoot early morning and late afternoon/evening. This will be in late May from Saturday to Monday, rain or shine. My thoughts as follows:
1 Morning - Central Park, south end
2 Afternoon - Rockefeller, St. Patrick's, Music City Hall and surrounding area
3 Morning - Soho, Little Italy, China Town
4 Afternoon - Brooklyn Bridge walk and Freedom Tower
5 Morning - Grand Central Station, Chrysler Building, Daily Planet
I know there are so many other great photo ops but 3 days is the limit. What say you???

Hey Big Guy. I lived and worked in NYC for many years. Your list is good but you might try some other things.
1. High Line Park on the west side used to be an elevated train but it's a park now.
2. Battery Park at the lower end of Manhattan
3. Greenwich Village including Washington Square Park
4. The Bull at the foot of Broadway a short walk from the Battery
5. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
6. The Brooklyn Bridge (It has a foot path).
Lots and lots more. Go to 500px.com and search for New York City. Amazing!

Thanks, been to all of them and they are indeed good suggestions. Am taking some first timers to NYC, fears and all, so need to stick with a few good spots and hopefully they all return next year so we can expand.
Oh, also forgot to mention the sunset cruise is in the running as well.

New sea horse carousel at battery park. A must see. And the newer carousel just about below Brooklyn Bridge on the east side of the East River, this one has been completely restored and sits inside a glass case and is from our old amusement park in Youngstown Ohio.
Under the Brooklyn Bridge, during and after sunset. You have the cityscape across the river, makes for great photo opts.. Avoid all the tour buses as they never stop for photo opts, only drive thru town pointing things out.. Cops everywhere and very friendly. I was impressed how clean the city was. Not much eye contact with the folks like you get in smaller towns. Nice place to visit...
I always urge people to consider the Upper West Side, focusing around the Columbia University campus. Besides the architectural highlights of the campus itself, there also are St John the Divine, Riverside Church and Grant's Tomb. Riverside Park, of course.

High line early on a weekday-gets crazy on weekends. Many , many photo ops in NYC as well as the other boroughs of NY. All the fellow hogs who listed their photo spots are spot on. If you are keen on visiting B and H, make certain it is not on Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, or a Jewish Holiday! Have a great time. Born and raised in NYC!
I would add Gantry Park in Long Island City for great views of the City, especially as night comes on. For $12 you can also go to Governor's Island which has great food trucks and a beautiful view. (Watch the times on the ferry though). Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy!

I'm not in love with the South end of Central Park, how about the south end of Manhattan, Battery Park, Statue of Liberty, Staten Island Ferry to view the statue and the skyline (evening or any time of day), Trinity Church, St. Pauls, South Street Seaport. These would probably fit with your #3 and 4. Someplace I've just never gotten around to going is The Little Red Lighthouse, Jeffrey's Hook, up near the Cloisters, oh that's another spot to go, Bob.

Unfortunately, there is no 5 best, more like 500, or even 5000. And it depends on your interests and what you like to shoot, people, buildings, landscapes, cityscapes, historical, modern, run down, brand new, inside, outside, etc.. Photo ops are everywhere. If you're new to New York I suggest getting a good guide book.
Somehow my reply ended up in the quote, here it is, Bob.

Geez $12.00 to get to Governors Island? I used to go free all the time while I was there.

That's round trip from Gantry Park. We usually drive in from Long Island and get free parking in LIC. So, for me, the math works out. On an upcoming weekend I think they're doing a jazz festival. I know if you are already in the City there are places you can get it for next to nothing.
