Recently bought a grip for my D7000. Sure it makes it bigger and heavier; but oh, the battery life and it is so nice to have a shutter specific for portrait orientation activation. Glad I bought it.

I have one on my D7100 and wont go without it. It does ad weight but my hands are large so the additional grip and portrait button are worth it.

I think a couple of images through the rain cascading down the windshield would have made a nice abstract of the tree in the midground that is somewhat separated out from the background.
