This morning, I visited the South Coast Botanic Garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, just south of Los Angeles. A cold breeze and overcast skies kept most of the insect grounded, so I had to settle for photographing dew-draped flowers.
Hand-held Nikon D5000 at ISO 200, with Nikkor 105G macro lens, 1/200-sec at f/16, overcast sky & Nikon SB-600 speedlight with O-Flash 3/4-circle Fresnel prism attachment. These are all CLOSE-UP photographs; none are macro-photographs.
