Here are a selection of photographs taken in a village near where I live.
I have attempted to include what can be seen in most small villages in England, The Pub, The Church, a Church, small stream and a bridge.
It was a dull cloudy day so some colours were muted, I have only attached one "store original" so the location can be viewed of the set.
I hope you enjoy them.
The Nelson Pub
River Yarrow

This Bridge is stilled used by local traffic
The Church
The Old School - still in use
Another Pub - there are seven others.
Beautiful. Nice rich color for a dull day. What is the name of the village?
Very nicely photographed!
Great shots of a wonderful village
Great travelogue. Thanks for sharing.
It's a place called Croston which is in Lancahire in the North West of the UK.
If you download the shot of the river the Exif will show a map of the location.
Thank you, I thought I'd try to do a series of these as I know our US friends really appreciate photos of various places inthe UK such as your Southport set,
Like it, like this set quite a bit.
Well done. Thanks for sharing.

And here in the US, schools that are barely 40 years, they condemn and say they beyond repair and have to build new ones. And we wonder why our taxes are so high; a lot of it is our own stupid attitudes.
Brilliant set John, I noticed you showed 2 pubs????????????????????????LOL,
Geoff

These pictures make the location seem very welcoming. You did a great job with composition.

Eight pubs and only a single school? Guess we know where all the educating actually occurs, with but one church to apologize for it, lol.
Enjoyed the series very much!
