This is actually a scan of a postcard of one of my photos, so the quality isn't that great. I have started digging through my 250,000+ photos to find the original slides, and when I do I will have them scanned professionally and be able to show a better rendition of the scene. Anyway, this is the old, relatively untouched South pacific. When I was there, there had only been slavers, missionaries, and a few government officials from the government of the Cook Islands visiting the locals. These days are gone forever, now, as air service has started between Rarotonga and Pukapuka.

I had a business that took me to the South Pacific and also Asia (Indonesia) about 50 times. I covered a lot of territory.

Yeah, the Cooks are on my bucket list too. Thanks for the share.
Rarotonmga and even Aitutaki are really quite tame compared to some of the Northern Islands. See if you can find a way to check those out.
