I found the patterns and repetition of shapes in these Las Vegas casino light fixtures to be quite beautiful.

i agree. and welcome back. had not seen your interesting avatar in a very long time.
Thanks very much. I shall try to post more often. I have been teaching school full time for several months, also working on several books.
Interesting photos. Sure something different.
I didn't think you were allowed to take pictures inside a vegas casino
In The Bahamas I was able to take photos in a lot of areas, but not on one part of the gaming floor. I photographed areas inside other parts of casinos there.
These Las Vegas pictures were taken before I had been to The Bahamas. I took quite a few photos and nobody ever said anything to me. And the camera is a fairly conspicuous one, so they surely noticed me wandering around with it. Perhaps unknowingly I got away with doing something I wasn't supposed to do.
I must be wrong, you can bet they noticed you.
A few years ago in Falon NV, they made us check our camers before we could go into the casio, it was an Indian casino.

In Arizona, we can't take cameras in the casinos. In Vegas they told me that I could take pictures unless it was live action. You could take pictures of your spouse next to a slot machine but not if she was next to an unknown group of people at a blackjack table.
I always as security about the photo rules.

I go to vegas a couple times a year and never had a problem taking pictures in the casino's , they have been just pics of the slot areas or a shot from the top of stairs or someplace where i could see a large area. sure it maybe different at the blackjack table or crap table, but i do knpw someone who has taken pics at the blackjack table , just ask and it may not be a problem. At one time you couldnt take a camera into the casinos in atlantic city if they could see it, had to be in a purse or bag but that has changed also.

I dont frequant the casinos. I have no intrest in giving away my money to those theaves. But if someone would want to photograph someone or some thing in side it would be no problem to do so. Did you ever see those cameras they use in the race cars? there about the size of a lipstick tube. Can be hid anywere. And the resolution is great. You could put one in your hat and no one would know. They just dont want to show that guy there with someone elses wife. Would be bad pub.
