World Surf League Contest in Huntington Beach, CA (part II)

The waves were less than perfect for the World Surf League Contest in Huntington Beach so I found other interesting subject matter to photograph while the contest moved along. Here is somewhat of an overview of what was discovered through the lens.

... good selection and a couple of really good surf pics .... too bad the surf didn't cooperate over the weekend.

You know what LB??? Pro surfers like these always make even bad surf look good. That's why they are pros. They can turn bad surf into good surf!

Brent now these shots are wonderful. The surfers are sharp and not overly sharpened. The umbrellas good stuff.

Thanks so very much Jules for letting me know the surfers and not overly sharpened. I try to enhance my photos but am very sensitive to oversharpening them. It's always a good thing to know from fellow photographers that what I am doing is "good". I will continue to shoot photos for the rest of my life........thanks for the nice compliments Jules.

I just missed these, I was in LA on the 1st and had my gear to boot. Ended up going to Venice Beach to shoot the skate park.

Jimmy, I see that you have chosen my only two photos of surfers riding waves! I think you are biased! lol Thanks for liking them so much.
