When I open my browser it also opens systems default apps window, How do I stop this? driving me nuts

Are you talking about a dialog box that asks you to make the browser your default and then tells you you must go to settings to do it? If not, I have no idea what your talking about. What browser are you using? What "window" pops up and exactly what does it display?

When I open the browser it opens these to windows at the same time, in other words it opens the browser + settings window also.

click start
Click settings ( on left side)
in the box type "action settings" ( if its not already on the screen)
select notifications and actions and look and see if the files are turned on
if not select apps or default apps not sure one or the other. if what your having a problem is on, turn it off

if you still have a problem , then I cant help....

BDK, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!! the box hide notification box was not on, Had to reset to default browser and it is working right again, don't know how it got turned off, but Thank you so much!!!!!

Open the task manager and go into the startup menu. Find the apps on the list and disable them.

They will still work when you want them to.
