Beautiful flower; nice capture.
The size of your flower exceeds the DoF of your f/8 aperture (closest part of flower is OoF). If you shoot again, decrease aperture to f/16, which will require adjustment of illumination.
Are you familiar with 'focus-stacking'? This post processing procedure will allow use of f/8 for individual photographs at different focus planes, merged to one in-focus image.
Also, I suggest that you diffuse your speedlight illumination to soften light reflections from shiny areas of flower.
Exif info:
Camera Model: NIKON D750
Lens: AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR

Aperture: ƒ/8.0

Beautiful shot and gorgeous flower!!!
Did it take a year to re-bloom for you... I have 3, different variety, but only one re-bloomed after a year.

This is really a beautifully photographed orchid. I did notice also that the base of the flower was not in focus, but I like the focus being where it is - on the interesting part of the flower. (Just my two cents). It's gorgeous!

Thank you so much, Donna. I didn't have any black cloth, so I placed the flower in front-of a flat screen tv.
