Unless you're photographing superhero Shinola Man, you probably don't want lots of shiny skin on your portrait subjects. here's a way to reduce skin shine.

Remember the comic book character Shinola Man? He could make himself super reflective and blind the bad guys. Maybe it's just a false memory.

Thanks for sharing this Jerryc41 !!
I recently took many photos of a steak feed that the temp was 102 deg. where we were cooking the steaks ourselves!

Inside where it was slightly cooler, there was really visable "shiny skin"!!
Followed the directions for PS and it worked amazing and it was Quick too!!!

Thanks!
This one goes in my file, ON TOP of it too!
Dave

I find many, many, many excellent tips in UHH and practice/try lots of them and save lots of them too!
I spend hours reading over the posts every day!!

What I don't get is why no one mentions that the best fix for shiny skin is to have a polarizing filter on your lens at the outset.

Newbie here; was wondering about this to myself and now I know.
Would not be amiss to have a hood on the lens, for good measure.
