Thanks much Voss, Should the tones be darker? I'm new at this, Not shooting the streets but B&W.

The tones are OK as they are. You could also go somewhat lighter, but not darker. (I tried lightening your photo, and it looks good a bit lighter.) In a photo like yours, I would judge the "lightness" by the faces. I'd adjust the brightness up and down from the original setting and look to see where the faces looked the best. Generally (not always) the rest of the photo will look OK as well. When you think you have it right, step back, figuratively speaking, and look at it without quite focusing, to see how it "feels." Generally, it's said, a good B&W photo should have something in it that is a "white" white, and something that is a "black" black. Then the middle tones will kind of adjust themselves. Anyhow, these are some thoughts on the matter. And, also, it's really a matter of personal taste.

I like it, too, and Voss is right: no darker--play off the faces.

If I were her, I would have used the brick for background but that's just me. Great shot!
