I have used the UHH Search to check out past posts on Chrome/Macs, so I have seen some varying opinions about Chrome and Macs. I have a MacBook Pro, and I was wondering if there are any more recent pro or con opinions regarding Chrome's use on this laptop, before I consider downloading it and using it in tandem with Safari.

It's fine, but does use more battery power.

I've tried them all, well most of them anyway. Safari, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Edge, Sleipnir. . . did I miss any? They all work reasonably well, I however don't like Chrome because Google has such a tendency to track everything you do, everywhere you visit. Currently I stick to Safari on my Mac and Edge on my Windows 10 PC.

It doesn't matter what browser you're using, the Google ad networks tracks you anyway. If you're logged into a Google account, even more so.

So, is there a way to disable that GOOGLE function?

That's a big question with complex answers depending on what and how you use your devices and whether you use any Google services or not. Best to Google it... Or maybe Bing, but good luck with that.

I use Chrome on everything, and I'm a fan. I was never especially happy with Safari.

Chrome is Google and they track every move you make. I'd get firefox, they care to safeguard your privacy, or at least they claim they do.

I use both Safari and Chrome on my MacBook Pro. Although I prefer Safari, I use them both regularly. No issues.
