Decided to trade in my Lumix FZ70 for a Canon SX720 which I hope better suits my second camera needs. Took it to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, New Hampshire where a birthday party for my cousin was being held. These are all very contrasty scenes. The first is the Carriage House Restaurant and the others are views of Lake Winnipesaukee from the patio. All are SOC and uncropped.

Looks like you did good
Even though I'm a Nikon guy I think this little Canon will serve me well.
From the photos, the camera looks like it will earn its keep. Enjoy it!
I dunno'. That first pic of the building seems to have a lot of distortion to it. I have no clue as to why this is. I have had this happen to me and simply changing the focal length slightly made the problem go away. I do not think camera brand or model has anything to do with it. I have had it happen to me with "High end" cameras. Go figure. Anyway, the second photo makes me want to go up there and dig up those Black Eyed Susan's and put them in my garden. So, that's a good thing!
Looks like you and your new camera are getting along quite well, Jeff! Beautiful images!
