I only have one other photo supplier that I find very reliable and reasonably priced that has not been mentioned here so far: Beach Camera in New Jersey has been used often by me in the past three years. Oddly they have low prices on other household goods too. Their regular lowest cost shipping seems superfast also to my Rhode Island address.

I use Hunts Photo, and Amazon. Sometimes EBay. I like Hunts, good shipping and they will match prices.

I use Adorama and Hunts Used Amazon but not for large ticket items because the now charge me sale tax if I have to pay sales tax I rather give the sale to my local store

I thought B & H Photo had the best prices for lenses but after checking out the price for a Tokina on Amazon, I was shocked to see that the same Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX II Digital Zoom Lens was $ 152 cheaper on Amazon. I am hoping that here in China it may be even cheaper.

Was curious where UHH members got their equipment from?

Before you whine too much you should call our UHH guy at B&H and ask them to match the price that you saw on Amazon, it could well be one is a gray market, please back check your info before calling a spade a spade. I find B&H and the big A very honest and I do business with both a lot.

I usually shop both Amazon and B&H, but since I live in Florida, given the same product and price, I go with B&H and save the 7% tax; the savings can be substantial especially on high ticket items.

I have used Amazon for small items but for camera bodies and lenses I have consistently used B&H (although I have purchased a few used lenses on eBay with good success)

I buy mostly from B&H for camera gear. I love their shipping procedures. Quick and efficient.

One thing you can be sure of is with B&H you will always have peace of mind when purchasing from them. They may not always have the lowest price but their prices will always be legitimate.
I just ordered a Lumix GX8 from B&H and they were one of only a few companies that included the new Lumix 12-60 for the same price as the body alone. Also included was a $150 gift card.

I buy 80% of my photo gear from B&H, 15% from Adorama, and 5% from other sites, including Amazon. For my money, B&H has the most knowledgeable sales people and they are completely reliable. Adorama, too. You can't discuss any questions with knowledgeable people at Amazon!

I purchase nearly everything from B&H, Adorama, and some locally. I purchased some "supposedly" US Army jungle boots from Adorama and after the 3rd party company messed up the order, I contacted the Pennsy Department of Consumer Protection and the provided suddenly shipped me the boots. Amazingly the boots were brand new knockoffs (lacking the booby trap protection in the soles) and were made in China. I am pretty sure that the US wasn't having US Army uniform parts manufactured in China during the Vietnam war.

I wonder where you got that information. I just checked the prices between Amazon and B&H and the latter sells the lens for $15 more.
I do not need that lens but if I would I would go to B&H and make my purchase there.

Addendum: Sorry, the actual difference is $53.
