I know loads of you hate Windows 10 and have not been slow to post your views.
As the time for access to the free version comes to an end, here is a highly recommended article on Windows 10 to show just how it has
changed in the last year and the big advantages in upgrading FREE before
July 29, 2016. Read the entire article.

From the How-To-Geek: Here's Why You Should Update
http://www.howtogeek.com/263413/you-only-have-a-week-left-to-get-windows-10-free.-heres-why-you-should-update/

Again, let me emphasis that I am not trying to get people to migrate to
Windows 10 if they don't want to, before next Friday when the FREE Offer
expires,
But this reminder will save you $119 for each computer that you have,
and/or $199 per computer if you need Windows 10 Pro.

It will be interesting to see how the transition from free to $120 goes. My thinking is that if you don't have it installed and activated by the 29th, you'll have to pay.

If windows 10 is the last version of windows, they have you over a barrel. Do you not think that MS will continue to give free updates sounds like it was free/ free/ free But they are going to get their money back. I admit it sounded to good to be true they pushed so hard even tried to force it on everyone. I think the real price of a free OS system will become clear sooner than later. I hope not , but I am old enough to know their is not much free stuff , may seem so at first, but someone pays always.

I put Win10 on everything that I could because I didn't want to pay $120 later on. MS gave us a lot of time to get it installed and working, and I'm glad I did it. Even if they charge in the future, I have still saved the $120 that Win10 will cost next week.

I know, but it is so rare and far between that it's almost 0% of the time. Macintosh is on it so quick you don't even notice.

For all of you who find Windows 10 to be great, you are blessed with better comprehension than me. I absolutely HATE this version as I struggle to find what I am looking for with multiple false links that were simply a click away in previous versions of windows. I have two (three) with my wife's computer) new computers that came with Win 10 installed, so I cannot revert to Win 7 or Vista from them. I have never used Win 8, so am not familiar if it is simple to navigate as the earlier versions were. I have been using the new computers for several months now and am comtemplating buying Windows 7 and deleting !0 from my new computers. Microsoft, you need to remember that not all computer users are computer geek savvy, and provide a simple recourse for them.

You can still buy Windows 7 online cheap, and get a license. I'm updating a Windows Vista laptop to Windows 7.

I cannot help but wonder if it will be shoved down our throats later for the computers we have now with a different Windows on it. I have heard too much negative about it and don't want to deal with it.

Windows 7 won't be around forever. Microsoft Support for Windows 7 is slated to end around the year 2020.

The simplest way to consider the new $120 charge is this. We all know that any computer has a limited life, totally depending on what you do with it and how slow its going to get a year, 2 or 3 from now. So then you are going to need a new, (replacement), computer, and guess what, the cost of that new computer is going to include the $120 you are talking about. They have got you every way you look.
