I heard this hawks hunting cry along with a lot of squawking yesterday afternoon while out walking so I carefully made my way close to where the cries were coming from and discovered this hawk stalking some very young Green Herons. The little Greenies were making their distress squawks. The hawk flew around the area and then landed in a tree right where I was observing. I didn't get a decent shot of the little Greenies because they were instinctively hiding in some trees. The hawk gave up and the little Greenies escaped this time.
