I have a Leica M-P typ 240 and wonder if there is a non Leica source for calibration of camera body and lenses other than the manufacturer. I am looking for superior work with a reasonable turn around time. I am worried that Leica will take 3 to 6 months and I don't want it gone anywhere near that long. Any Hoggers with a great alternative source? I definitely do not want to do this myself - it is way out of my league. Thanks. I am not looking to discuss the pros and cons; I am looking for good alternatives. Hope you are all having a photographically great day.📸

if it is anything like the monochrom, you have the ability to calibrate the lens via the menu. it offers a number of lenses to sync with the computer in the camera body. for instance, i've a 50mm 1:1.4 summilux lens without the 6 bit coding. but the menu on the monochrom allows for syncronisation with the lens by entering it on the selection menu.
i hope this is of assistance to you.

I don't understand as of what type of calibration you are talking about?
I want to calibrate my individual lenses with my specific camera in order to achieve the best and tightest focus on my intended subjects.
Oh OK calibrate the lens to the rangefinder. If you use liveview then there is no need for calibration. Actually I can't focus with the live view.
Adjustments are "leica-ly", (a dumb word I just made up), in the menu.
Sort of like having several children in your family, you'll just pickup on the differences in time and make adjustments as necessary.

If you are referring to micro-focus of the lens, this might be of help:

Thank you for your GENorkus (say it fast and slurred) response. I Leic'd your sense of humor...
The Leica M-P type 240 doesn't have auto focus so the link doesn't apply. It's about matching the lens coupling to the rangefinder. On the Leica as you focus the lens manually of course it moves the coupling which moves the rangefinder in the viewfinder. If the lens and body don't perfectly match to each other there may be some focusing error. Since Leica is about the only company that still makes rangefinder cameras I doubt that one can get them calibrated properly outside of Leica.
Thanks LFingar, that was really helpful info.

again, if you need to calibrate the lens to match the rangefinder, look at the menu. there is a list of different lenses and varying focal lengths and f stops which, when selected, will match your lens to the rangefinder.
