I wouldn't be surprised if they do call it the D7200, to keep up with the D3200 and the next version of the D5100. The D7000 came out around November of 2010, so it's about due for an upgrade.
The thought has crossed my mind...

BTW I'm looking at the D5100. Does anyone know when the D5200 will be available? That should drop the price of the D5100.

I saved almost $100 on a D5100 by getting a refurb with under 1,900 shutter clicks. Now I'm waiting for the D7100/7200. I wish they'd introduce new models every six months or so. They should have announced all the Dx200 models at the same time. I'm not the patient type.
