Looks like it may be a Western Green Grass Grasshopper, see here:

I think they are called katydids. We had those in Indiana when I was growing up.

Looks pretty close. http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/true_katydid.htm Wings and antennae are a bit different so mine might be another variety. Thanks for the help.

Looks like the nymph stage (maybe) of a variety of katydid but don't know which.
